Description

This is a vintage Astrakhan or broadtail fur coat, dating to the 1960s.
Astrakhan derives its name from a city in southern Russia, but this is basically still a broadtail fur coat.
The coat is made in a short style, in keeping with 60s era fashion lengths.
It does up with two metal loop and snap closures at the middle and lower front and also has a loop and hook that closes the neckline.
It has a small squared collar and above the wrist length sleeves, typical of 60s styles as it was important to show off one’s gloves.
It has a pocket at either side.
It is fully lined in a grey fabric.
Label: No label on the broadtail fur coat
Sizing: No size is indicated on this broadtail fur coat, and although this should fit a medium size, please rely on the following measurements for fit taking the thickness of the fur into account and the style of the coat:

14” across from sleeve/shoulder seam to sleeve/shoulder seam, 17” if you include the sleeve cap
Sleeves: 24” from the sleeve/shoulder seam
Sleeve Inseam:
16 1/2”
Bust: 40” around
Waist: 40” around
Hips:

Length: 33”, measured flat
Condition:
This broadtail fur coat is in very good condition with no pronounced wear or tear - there are two small wear spots at the upper left sleeve, very minor, and a small unstitched area of the lining (see close-up photo), easy repair for a sewer.
This is a nice quality broadtail fur coat - easy to wear 60s style!
