Unique Purple and Tan Angel Blade Handmade Leather Tooled, Textured Purse/Pouch

for adults who love Supernatural is a leather pocket that features a one of a kind naturally and asymmetrically fluted edge flap –this flap has been line carved all around at 1/8” (black edged) and down each vertical
side
of the flap runs
a texture tooled ½”
stripe dyed oxblood.
The subtle art nouveau
feel
comes from the carved French curve diagonal field, that was painted purple and tooled with gilt scallops above the top edge, and that sits atop the oxblood stripe in one place.
The remainder of the flap was dyed a rich orange- tan color, called saddle tan, which is the predominant color of the entire purse.
The flap, measuring
8.75” Wide X
6.5” long at the apex
is sewn onto the main body of the pouch with black braided cord, as are all the seams and the
leather plaque that houses the angel blade art work.
The body of the bag, is also line carved with
black 1/8” edging, and features a 2” center tooled striped of oxblood that echoes the stripes on the flap as well as a pair 5/8”smooth purple stripes
(with the same gilt scallop tooling facing the center) down each side.
The art is from an original drawing by Denver artist Kevin Greene, a beautiful rendition of slightly asymmetrical
angel wings with angel blade in the center; this drawing was adapted by the leathercrafter. . .transferred. then hand carved,
into the rounded edge rectangular leather appliqué, the design is hand painted and colored black to contrast the saddle tan plaque (slightly lighter than the rest of the purse), then
finally highlighted around the carvings with gilt silver and gold,
and hand textured with brown and tan paints to accentuate the 3d feel of the design.
The artwork piece was black edged, then glued and stitched on to the center of the flap over top the French curve carving and accented with small silver tone nickle rivets.
Looking at the sides, you will see the panels edged in black, painted purple and oxblood stripes , wrap stitched with braided cord to form the oval ended box-like pocket that measures 8.75” W ” X by 1.25” D X 6” L (approximate),
the length of the pouch is slighltly flexible, determined by the tightness that the wider burgundy leather thongs are pulled around the cloud textured scalloped edge concho, also colored oxblood.
This concho has been decorated with a silver tone wing charm,
a pentacle sewn
in the center.
All seams are wrap stitched by hand and reinforced with tanners bond.
The flap
is lined with black suede cloth that covers, not only the stitching of the design and attachment of the concho
but
the flap seam
and the entire purse.
The tips of the leather thong are finished with textured silver metallic beads and teardrop ends.
The wider back pouch strap that is glued, riveted and sewn in place will accommodate a belt up to 4.5” wide, and serves as a handle should you wish to carry it as a clutch bag.
Additionally, this pouch has nickel
d-rings also glued, riveted, and sewn
to the top of the side panels of the pocket
thru which you can add a chain or a strap to turn your belt pouch into a smaller over the shoulder purse or
daybag for carrying those essential
items you need . . .keys, most smartphone, wallet, tickets , camera, and chapstick or even a 6oz flask.
