    Description

Antique Shriners April 1910 Commemorative Champagne Cup from New Orleans Convention
    Approximately 4 1/2"T  x  3 1/4"W (at lip)
On one side of the cup or glass is the Shriner logo and the words "Syria" and "Pittsburgh, PA."
The other side says "New Orleans  ~  April 1910" and the head of a man with a long white beard.
Presumably this is Rex ~ King of the Mardi Gras
There are also two decorative Louisiana alligators crawling up the sides.
They are hand printed and in fantastically good shape!
This cup or glass has been in the family a long time but I really don't know it's history.
For 107 years old it is in excellent condition.
The glass is smooth and unblemished - no chips, cracks or marks.
The "blue" on the glass are reflection from windows. There is no blue on the glass.
I did not examine the glass with a magnifying glass but I do not see any visible scratches.
To me this glass is in excellent shape except I do see where there was paint which is now gone,
such as the paint on the logo blade or scimitar and the paint on the sphinx.
Also the gold paint (?) is also worn in places.
Will be shipped priority with tracking and full insurance.
I am  by no means an expert on antique Shriner glasses so please examine my pictures carefully and
if you would like additional photos or have any questions, please feel free to ask. Thanks!
