MD. Scudder International Fund, Inc, 1989 Odd Shrs Specimen Stock Cert., VF SCBN. In 1953 Scudder introduced Scudder International Fund, Inc., the first mutual fund available in the US investing internationally in securities of issuers in several foreign countries. Scudder International Fund, Inc. was organized as Scudder Fund of Canada Ltd. in Canada in 1953 by the investment management firm of Scudder, Stevens & Clark, Inc. On March 16, 1964, the name of the Corporation was changed to Scudder International Investments Ltd. On July 31, 1975, the corporate domicile of the Corporation was changed to the US through the transfer of its net assets to a newly formed Maryland corporation, Scudder International Fund, Inc., in exchange for shares of the Corporation which then were distributed to the shareholders of the Corporation.
