    Description

    Gorgeous black Victorian knee length cape
    Fabric is ribbed - but I'm not sure what it is
    High neck is trimmed in feathers
    At the neck and down both the front and back is an ornate corded/braided pattern
    The shoulders are puffed
    It is lined only down the front, down the back around the neck and shoulder area - the lining is disintegrating around the hook and eye fasteners down the front
    It's hard to measure since it is a cape, but it measures approximately 44" around the chest area but that includes the arms.
    It is about 16" from tip of sleeve to tip of sleeve
    And 40" from shoulder seam to hem
    Some color is worn from the cording
    This is from my family - I used to wear it for dressy occasions
    I once wore it to the King Cole Room at the St. Regis in New York and the whole place turned to look at me.
    I would estimate it will fit best from about an 8 to a 10.
    It is over 100 years old and is not perfect - but wonderful
    If I were younger and keeping it, I would have it re-lined and would dye the braid
