The pocket is designed around the unique  natural edge of the leather that forms the flap edge and which extends to make the entire pouch.  The French curve carving on the pouch front defines the coloring and tooling,  dividing the bag into two browns ( a very dark and a med brown), the pebble texturing on the pocket bottom, and the curved  stripe purple painted  with silver gilt sunburst tooling  across the flap:  this stripe is echoed down the sides of the bag.   The sewn on open work silver tone hibiscus piece is surrounded by matching  accent pieces. . a pair of leaf  bars radiating diagonally above  and
a pair of baroque circular lined charms along the curved stripe.  The silver tone decorations are echoed by the crest charm sewn  into the curved and dot textured” finger” and the gold dotted silver  button that enhances the scalloped leather concho, which forms the anchor for the wrap thong bag closure.  The tips of the brown heavy leather thong are finished with silver beads.  The look of the pouch is completed by pebble textured sides and black line edge around the entire bag.
The bag measures 7.5” W  X 6.5” L X 1.5” D.   All seams and embellishments are hand stitched with tough braided waxed cord— wrap stitched on the sides and reinforced with tanners bond.   The back pouch strap that is glued, riveted and sewn in place will accommodate a belt up to 3.25” wide.  Additionally, this pouch has silver tone d-rings also glued, riveted, and sewn to the top of the side panels of the pocket thru which you can add a chain or a strap to turn your belt pouch into a small over the shoulder daybag for carrying the most necessary  items you need . . .keys, most smartphones, wallet , and smaller personal items, as shown. The strap/ belt is a 3/4" piece of leather (line carved and dyed black on the sides with a 3/8"tan center stripe} that is broken into two pieces so it can snapped into the d-rings on the pocket as shown.  The buckle end, including the snap attachment measures 13.5".  The longer "hole" end  measures from snap end to first (smallest) hole at 32" and the last hole at 40" with plenty of room (4") for expansion if needed.  The strap, attached to the purse measures 45.5" to 53.5" from hip to hip with the existing holes which can be altered by simply adding more holes. Hardware is bright brass buckle, snaps, and rivets.   Additionally, included in the set,  is a 1" antique brass ring that that can form as a link between the two ends of the strap, making this a belt that measures 46.5" to 53.5" (using the existing holes) and can be used to carry this purse as a pouch (ala fanny pack).  The belt retails for 25.00 as a seperate entity.  Ask seller for details and shipping costs if you only wish to purchase the strap/belt.
