  • Condition: Pre-owned condition, and amazingly over 100 years old. There are a couple of seams that need resewing (see last photo) and one button is missing on the front, though there seems to be an extra button on the tie that could be moved to the front. There are a few tiny pin head size holes and a touch of wear that can be seen when held up to the light. I would say it is still quite wearable with care after cleaning and ironing (no bad odors).

    Antique Victorian Satin Opera Coat or Robe With Tie Lg Ball Tassels
    Antique Victorian black satin opera coat (or robe) with large same fabric buttons and a long, attached (on sides and back) 73" tie belt (3" wide) with ball tassels on each end.  It has a large, wide collar that is 9 1/2-10" wide and has a ruched area done along the inside back of the coat as shown in the 2nd last photo. It measures approximately:
    40" bust
    45" waist with the ruching
    17" shoulder to shoulder
    45" shoulder to hemline
    about 75" wide around the hemline
    24" sleeves total with 4" cuffs
    It should probably be cleaned & ironed as it's been in storage for many years (no bad odors).
